The Desert Eagle draw and inspect animation are very dangerous.
You could shoot yourself easily. If done in real life, would be putting the weight of the weapon on the trigger, and you could easily should yourself while flipping it.

Doesn't change the facts. Is Arma not a game? Would it not be questionable if in Arma,
a Desert Eagle could shoot lazers, for example?

The CS:S Deag already practically shoots lasers, just make it a bit flashier and you're done.

1) the mechanics used by CS GO mean that with every gun, when you pull the trigger you hit exactly where you're aiming instantaniously. So basically you already are shooting lasers since there is no bullet drop and you don't have to lead a target.
2) The difference between CS GO and Arma is that Arma is a game that focuses on realism. CS GO on the other hand doesn't. In CS GO you have a HUD, crosshair, and when you pick up the gun you get ALL the ammo the previous user had in the gun when dropped. Obviously realism isn't something that is high on the priority list.

I meant laser, as in an actual laser. Bullets hitting a location instantaneously has nothing to do with a laser. Valve says that CS:GO is realistic. Not gameplay wise, but theme wise. CS:GO is a realistic THEMED tactical shooter. Why even have real life weapons, counter terrorist factions, or any of that stuff if it is just a game? Changing a weapon draw animation isn't going to ruin the game, and saying that it is because CS:GO isn't realistic is not a very good answer. They clearly try to make the game's theme as realistic as possible, and even said so in the weapon finishes blog. I know it is a game, but I am just saying that is is dangerous, and it would be stupid to do in real life, and very hard to do without discharging the weapon. I am not saying they change the draw animation, because I think it looks nice, despite the physical impossibility of the player flipping the weapon through their hand, and I know it was added due to community desire for it to look like the animation used in the older games.

They aren't going to change the animation They had removed it before, either in GO or in an earlier game and there was an uproar. It's such a part of the game that it's basically become part of the culture.

I don't want them to change it nor do I think they should. The CS:GO beta Desert Eagle used animations of all other pistols excluding the USP.

Then this thread seems kind of pointless. Even to me it sounded like you wanted it changed.

I really don't care if you or anyone else finds it pointless. I just thought I would get other people's thoughts on it.
