Did this game give me migraines?
Ok first of all Im a healthy 19 year old male, work out 4 times a week. Been a gamer all my life, never any problems. So 2 days ago I really got into cs go and played about 5 comp matches in a 7 hour timespan. So at 2 am after my last match I feel my nervous system shut down, I have a major headache, nausia, complete loss of balance, and killer back pain. This lasted about 2 days and I am just getting to become myself again. I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I have stress related migraines, as Ive had a tough life and am usually very stressed out. He also told me to take it easy on games. I would hate to quit gaming though as I truly love it and it eases my stress.

Does it ease your stress though?
Try to have sessions where you play DM or casual, listen to some chilled music and just have fun killing without any form of competitive urges.

But Im so competetive as a person, Im either all or nothing. If I cant do competitive Ild rather not play.

That's the issue then.
You are getting anxiety from the game.
I often get it when I play loads of comp.
I go to sleep thinking about how I played, wake up annoyed i lost, etc.

It's important to reflect on your game but as important to not be affected by the anxiety that comes with it.

Thats what I like about CS though, it truly is a skill based game and sucks you in. Great game to escape in.

Sorry for the necro, but I found this thread because the same thing happened to me, but stress was not a factor, I think it was particularly because of the weird fov (images in the corners of the screen do get almost warped and if screws with my peripheral vision). Never had issues like this, not playing nor outside. Is there any way to adjust the fov to get a smaller angle?
