What's the point of playing CS:GO?

For a few days I'm thinking of buying cs:go and from what i understand from YT videos made me think about few things:
-No ranking system (soldier class4 , colonel ,general etc) ?So you basically play only for fun?
-what's the point in actually playing this? What i mean is that in other fps you play to buy new guns, advance in rank and get a nice S/D ,but here you get nothing in the end, right?

You can buy/sell skins.

This game is bad, I've played it for about 20 hours and can say it's 2/10 fun..
Mostly hackers in this game, I am going back to battlefield 4 since this game is so boring
I don't recommend buying this game

What the point is of playing CSGO? The same as any other game: killing your time in a fun manner.

Games are games, and they exist so people can enjoy playing a game.
CSGO comes with various gamemodes for basically every FPS enthousiast to enjoy.
Don't want the stress of competitive games? Hop onto casual community servers.

But it sounds like you need to do some better investigating lol.

People complain about hackers a lot while they don't even know the game that well.
The Counter-Strike franchise is over a decade old and CS:GO still plays with a lot of the classic maps from the very first Counter-strike.

People have known these maps for a long time and have had years of practice on them.
Sometimes it feels like someone is hacking to you, but it might just be awkward timing or the enemy team has some good communication.

CS:GO is better off without the people who cry about hackers.
Instead of crying about it, just report them and if they really hack they'll be dealt with.

1. competitive and challenging, not like casual games
2. MM ranking
3. best FPS experience for skill and tactics
4. Its CS

A lot of people who hate CS is because the learning curve is too big for them.
I only jumped into CSGO recently and i found the learning curve to this to be pretty hard compared to most FPS games you see, but I find it really fun as well.

I realise im still bad at the game but I enjoy learning it :D

Once you feel confident and decent with more experience, the game gets better and better and better. Glad you enjoy it.
The biggest things are, map knowledge, communication, radar.
Aim and movement will come with time.
