Cs won't open after resolution change
I accidentally set the resolution to random 4:3 resolution when I was trying to change it back from 720p back to 800*600 and now cs won't open. I've tried uninstalling it and that hasn't worked either. It goes to a black screen and flashes every few seconds when I open it.

-w 800 -h 600 in your launch options.

w is width
h is height.

You can use whatever you want.

How do I put that in my launch options?

Go to your library and right click on CS GO. Go to proprieties then click on launch options. Type that there. Also type -novid to get over the annoying intro when you start the game.

I just tried it and it didn't work but it might be on my part. Could you tell me what exactly I have to type in so I can copy and paste it in?

"setting.cpu_level" "2"
"setting.videoconfig_version" "1"
"setting.mem_level" "2"
"setting.gpu_mem_level" "2"
"setting.defaultres" "1600"

np :) You can remove those lines now if you want otherwise you wont be able to use any other resolution since the game will always launch itself with 600 and 800 due to them being in the launch options. :)

An easier way is to open troubleshooting option(If your on windows)and click trouble shoot programs click not listed and click brows and the find the csgo files select them and trouble shoot it then click run as prevoius rersion and the click test program. csgo should open up and then all you have to do is change your res back to normal and then open csgo the normal way you would

You know this thread is from 2014 so I doubt the "Dude" will be helping you. Delete the Cfg file and verify your game files.

The best way to fix this for me was the open NVIDIA GeForce Experience, select details for Counter Strike Global Offensive, click the wrench tool (Custom Settings) and change the resolution back to how it was.
hope this helps :)
