What do people consider a "Fair Trade"?
I feel as if some players just expect to raise their value with each trade.. Is that what a fair trade is now? I usually offer the same wealth in a trade, but I get outrageous counter offers at times.

I feel you, it is rediculous to see some people do that. Most people trading for CSGO are trying to make a profit which is crazy in itself. It's about peoples morals and if they want to try and rip you off. I believe that trades should be equal and people shouldn't try to ask more for what they want in return. It's just society now, trying to get the best thing for yourself.

Simple , people expect you to trade your 300$ item for their 60$ item 1 for 1. And if you offer a 10$ item for their 7$ item they expect you to overpay and put another 10$ item on top. OR they will report you as a trade scammer and you are marked for 2 weeks without doing anything bad. GG
For me fair trade is 1:1 equal value market but if someone come up with too many items to trade for one of mine, he have to overpay. And if I don't like the deal easy, just decline and move on. There little % of good and fair trader most of them just too greedy just ignore them.

i agree 100%, i said want a fair trade in chat, wanting an equal value, and a guy offers 1$ worth for my 5$ ak

i then went and offered about $10 1/2 of weapons for an 11$ weapon and he wants 15$ worth of weapons, its rediculous

People need to understand that bulking up junk is not worth a lot in its own..
You cant expect people to give fair trades on high value items. Why go through all the effort of selling 20 $2 items when you can just keep your $40 item and sell it way faster? Or better yet, just trade for keys and dodge Steam tax all together.

I don't think he meant it that way... But with keys you don't dodge anything because if the guys want steam wallet, he need to sell them, luckly they sell very fast and higher than they actually cost in game.

Hmm, whilst there are people who expect massively over the market prices for items, there are certain situations where I do ask for overpay; for example

- People wanting a high value item but offering many low value items
- People wanting a high demand item that doesn't drop anymore
- People offering undesirable items in exchange for a very desirbale item
- And most simply, the fact I do stick stuff on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ im not desperate to trade, I just want to see if someone with more money than sense offers anything for it

What I mean is:

You either sell your Vanilla Karambit on the market and get $250, and proceed to get $215 after Steam takes its cut. That would be enough to buy 86 keys.

Or, you simply trade your knife for 100 keys in the first place, and you lose nothing.

I like it when the trades are worth the same but let's say some guy is giving like 4 items for 1 of mine I want overpay
