setting up a dedicated server is pretty easy. seeing how you have a separate computer to do this makes it even better..

you dont even need steam on the computer running the server. or cs:go game even.

all you need are the server files which you get by downloading the steamcmd.exe and running that.

its a pretty good guide/tutorial but if you get stuck at all let me know in here and I will help you.

only run steamcmd.exe on the computer you want as your server.

your gaming pc does not need steamcmd

sorry I will help in here, but I will not skype or accept firends.. sorry..

1 - download steamcmd to your server pc
2 - run steamcmd
3 - wait for updates etc then type 'login anonymous'
4 - after login type 'force_install_dir c:/server' .. or wherever you want it
5 - type 'app_update 740'

once all that is done, come back and I will help you with the launch parameters depending on what game you want.

now create a shortcut to the srcds.exe in that folder.. then right click that shortcut and chose properties.

depending on what type of server you want, you need to add stuff to target area of in the shortcut.

what type of server do you want?

no the srcds.exe is NOT the steamcmd, exe

once you ran, updated and chose the folder, and installed the game, the srcds.exe should be in the folder you told it to install.

I understand you want to run a server.... I am asking what TYPE of server... tehre are more than one type.. like competitive, casual, armsrace, deathmatch.....
