Can't launch CS:GO, Entry point not found
Hi! So I just bought CS:GO last night and installed it, and when I decided to play today it didn't work. As soon as I launched the game, I get an error saying "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive: csgo.exe - Entry point not found" and I have to use task manager to close the game (big black screen only, it doesn't start). I've been looking around on google to try and find a fix, but nothings worked, so I'm wondering if anyone might be able to help me out?

I have Windows 7 64bit, and the game is installed on my harddisk, while steam is installed on SSD (not an issue with any other game, just mentioning it if it matters). Would love a fix that didn't include me re-installing CS:GO as my internet's pretty slow and I can only download games during night time (if possible).

Thanks for the help!

is this the complete error message? Try verifying the game cache. Otherwise one or more of your windows/driver dlls are corrupt

"The procedure entry point RIB_unregister_interface could not be located in the dynamic library mss32.dll."

How do I verify the game cache?

right click CS:GO in your library -> properties -> local files tab -> verify game cache (or the like, dont have english interface)

the file shoul be located in ..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\bin

its most likely missing or corrupt

Tried verifying and all files successfully validated. Still getting the error. What should I do if the file is missing or corrupt? Re-install?

thats a toughy - try deleting the file and then verify again

ok I did a bit more reading, people report to fix it by deleting the complete /bin folder and then verify again - though it might work for you by just deleting the dll.
Since your internet bandwitdh seems limited I'd suggest to try deleting the csgo.exe and verifiying again if deleting the dll didnt work and if that doesnt work the whole /bin folder

The /bin folder worked, thanks so much for your help :D

Avast deletes csgo.exe
Hello guys I hope someone can help me
I played like 3-4 hours with some friends. After everybody went to bed I played some Terraria and wanted to play another DM in CS:GO
Suddenly Avast deletes the .exe saying its a Virus.

Did anyone else get this?
