Looking where to start as a beginner

Hello! I was wondering how do I get started in this game?
I find myself getting messed with and bullied a lot in casual servers while I'm just trying to learn. Is there anything I can do? Do I just look up more guides and train my aim more? All help is appreciated, thank you.

Sent you a friend request! I'm new too! if you're up for it we can play wingman sometime? it's 2v2 and smaller versions of the map. I find it easier to play and learn movement and aim and still being competitive. less people to bully you. just you and your teammate.

Casual to learn the maps and smokes and deathmatch to practice aim and recoil control. Just remember to stop moving right as you shoot (counter strafing)

End of the day cs is one of those games where you just have to put hours in. Eventually you will learn by watching others or failing then trying again

so from what i got from all the people chipping in and helping out:

To actually start, start with arms race and deathmatch, and then eventually when I feel comfortable, go into casual, and when I feel ready from there, I go to ranked?

My first recommendation would be to stay away from this game.

Not wanting that;
Find friends immediately and play some "serious" casual (without ghosting, of course).
Then play all maps in MM at least 10 times each, then Premier.
Always with friends.

Play competitive and use the report system to report toxic ones

I recommend spending about a month (or two) playing only casual and deathmatch. This will build your skills and help you find your preferred guns, strategies, and settings. Also, adjust your crosshair and sensitivity. Practice with aim trainers and community workshop maps. Use headphones or earbuds so you can actually tell where footsteps are coming from. Unfortunately toxic no-lifers are impossible to avoid unless you only play with friends. You will get teamkilled. You will get verbally harassed. You will get voted off the team for no reason. But its just part of the game, and in my opinion its a small price to pay. Hope this helped, feel free to ask questions

Try to imitate the way pro players play. learn maps, utility too. this would be a good start.
