Is the p90 a good gun for a relative noob?

I am kind of new to counter strike 2. I suck ass at the game and i have like 500 hours in tf2. i have a gun that a like which is the p90. Is it a good smg/main weapon?

The only actually better SMG is MP9, but MP9 requires good aiming skill (if you can't aim for the head, this gun is useless for bodyshots) and keeping distance.

P90 is good against armored targets even if you shoot the body, it is pretty accurate if you're shooting while moving, also you can shoot bursts in longer distances and hit heads (but dealing less damage than assault rifles in long ranges).

And yes, P90 players are often called noobs for using the "noob gun", but it is just because most of players can't counter it and getting mad when someone kills them with P90.

"Noob guns" not exist anymore , because players wants to win match on every possible way .
Back in a time when I started playing (2016) people who used P90 or Autos are called nubs and players kicked them from matches ez pez .
Over a years P90 was nerfed and it becomes expensive .
Now in CS 2 I'm often using Negev ( when economy is bad ) , I can hold banana alone and defend site . Enemy team calling me nub , when 3-4 of them run into fire and being erased .

In low and mid skill groups you can dominate with P90 if you know what are you doing.
Show me at least one assault rifle with which you can spray on full moving speed and still kill the enemies?

Yet still most players prefer to buy Deagle, even if they suck with it all the time.

P90 has higher DPS (~10% better) against unarmored targets than Galil (DPS against armored targets is the same though), and higher DPS against both armored and unarmored targets compared to Famas.

learn counterstrafing.. do not go easy way (run and gun) for convenience..you will build bad habits.. it will be much harder to get rid of them if you stick around

many people in cs 2 competitive mode don't buy armor and helmet

Thus as a result, p90 is better than famas and galil

One time in a match, i was using p90 and strafing left and right so often vs awp, i just burst fire of 3 to 5 bullets while pressing the fire button on my mouse

The end result, the sniper died while i receive zero damage

The distance between us is long range and i HS the sniper with p90

Only took around 12 bullets in total

p.s sniper was hiding behind a box and showing head only

Take Famas and try to run'n'gun without counter-strafing. You will end with 0 kills even against average opponents, because Famas won't land shots if you're moving. And with P90 you can make kills while moving and even jumping. There are also cases where even pros used P90 for non-stop rushing the bomb site.
I don't know how else I have to explain the difference between SMGs and ARs and their pros and cons.

It's not a habit, it is playstyle. Like different playstyles with AWP and Negev.
It's actually pretty working thing with SMGs, shotguns and spam-pistols in close combat.
And since P90 is SMG run'n'gunnig fits the gun pretty well.

And bad for ''spray and pray''

Burst fire mode requires to press the fire button now and then since there is a delay in between

p90 is easier to fire 3 to 5 bullets per fire button
