What will happen with the skins when Valve releases a new CS?
I was thinking about what will happen to the skins and the whole market when Valve releases a new Counter Strike and I just wanted to hear some opinions about this topic. :) So what do you guys think? Perhaps you could use the old skins in the new game or whatever because there are already so many skins but Gabe wants to make profit of course. What will happen to all the traders? :boomer:

The skins not transferring to a new CS wouldn't affect their income at all... People will still open new cases whether skins are there or not.

But yea, I doubt they'll transfer over, and they will severely drop in price.

There won't be a new CS anytime soon, CS:GO might be ported to Source2 though.

Simple, they won't make another game.

@MellowK but they can't add a new weapon case to the game every month with new skins because there would be too many skins after some time or not? :)

Valve is kind of a lazy gaming company.

Half Life is Valves first game. It came out in 1998 and they are only up to Half Life 2.

Left 4 for Dead came out in 2008 and they are only up to Left 4 Dead 2.

They won't release a new Counterstrike for a long time.

As other have said, updating CSGO to the rumored Source 2 engine is far more likely as the same thing happened when the Source engine came out.

Valve isn't Activision. They doesn't rehash new versons of their games every few months.
