Successfully getting a skin voted into case reward
Hi, i've been playing csgo for awhile now and i wanna get into skin making. Now i know how to make the skins themselves and upload but ..... WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU WIN?!? Do you get a reward or a prize or something? Technically csgo is making money off your design, i understand your sign off your right when you accept the terms and what not but still i think theres some kind of compensation right? Whats the REWARD other then getting your skin published and seeing it in a case?!

I think you get 5% of all the sales on the market of that skin... could totally be wrong tho

In TF2, you get the item you make but in a special exclusive quality, but I don't think anything like that is in CS:GO. If i remember correctly, the community artists that get their skin added to the game get a small bit of the profit. I'm not too sure on that part though.

Ohh, so that's where the tax goes
Shame if you make a skin that gets added as a blue lel

I figured it was some kind profit kinda thing but i also looked it up and find some rumors about prototype keys or something about a type of certificate of proof of the maker or of the like.

Wrong, 25%, also, for example, the creator of the Hyper Beast has earned about 80000 USD at this time, and on average they earn 30000-50000 USD. Gives you an idea of how much Valve makes XD.

you make at least $40,000 US dollars. That's what a skin maker said

If you are looking to make money don't even bother. Valve very infrequently adds new ones and the ones chosen are virtually never the best ones. It's just completely random. Might as well go to the casino.
