computer turning off mid way thru game
hey guys!
for the past 2 weeks i have been experiencing this problem where mid way thru a comp game my computer will turn off. ( this only seems to happen when im playing ranked) i will start it back up and it says ( windows did not shut down successfully. if this due to the system not responding, or if the system was shut down to protect data, you might be able to recover by choosing one of the safe mode configurations) i have only experienced this whilst playing cs go. so i have deleted the game and all its files and downloaded it again, that didn't work. i verified the integrity of the game, nothing was wrong with that. i did a bunch of malware scans and that, that didn't work. and i also uninstalled my Norton, but that didn't work either... this problem is really starting to piss me off now but i have no idea how to fix it. if anyone has a solution that would be great. cheers

If your PC is just turning off without any apparent reason, that is most likely due to overheating of the central processing unit. Have you measured the temperature of your CPU and GPU while under maximum load?

A) Overheating > check temperatures with Speccy or AIDA64
B) Faulty PSU > buy a new one[i.imgur.com]

yeh ill be in the middle of a round on cs go and then it will just shut off and start back up in safety mode.. and no i haven't measured the temp, how do i do that?

Are these temps after 10+ minutes of playing? If yes then your PSU is most likely a goner
