CS:GO Crash. My 16Gb Memory is too low. WTF? Hack?
SO, was in game, and CS:GO crashed & burned to a re-boot.

Message came up before the re-boot that;-
"Your memory is low: Close CS:GO.

But....
This is an iChiLL GTX780 rig running on a Haswell i7 and 16Gb XPG Ram (Platinum PSU).
Windows 8.1 Pro fully updated on Samsung V-Nand SSD (Games on WD Black Drive). Most recent NVidia drivers etc (and most recent Sabertooth BIOS [months old]).

Only some google tabs in the background as usual. No other programs. Clean install.

Could it be a hack from in the game from the server in Casual?

Or....

Maybe PC is a mess. Check your running processes, there is always much more running than a web browser.

PC is a mess?
How so?

I had Checked processes yesterday.

Not much. Nothing out of the ordinary. Many general processes set to disabled for months since the clean install I mentioned.

But I only have 20 years checking such stuff. Its just not what it would do.

No biggie if you are guessing same as me.

Try verifying integrity of game cache. Maybe some broken files cause a memory leak of something.

Check your system info, does it really recognize the 16gb?

just because you slap 16 gigs in a system doesn't mean it will register all 16 gigs.. what are your specs? screenshots?
have you checked msconfig?

low ram usually means you have an os fault or a program stuck and it's gobbling up page file.

looks like a deadlock in ur aimbot ;)

Low ram - Either your system dont adresses/recognizes the 16 gig. Or maybe its defect.

"just because you slap 16 gigs in a system...."............. What tribe are you?

Furthermore....
Specs are in the first post.
Altzheimers?

Screenshots of what? A crash that re-booted and where Windows was closed to any function except re-boot?

The OS is checked every few days via Samsung Magician software. Its running Great. No other issues whatsoever.

As for program stuck; the only one running was Steam and CS:GO and Google tabs and Origin just sitting in the background (etc).

Read my earlier post on the Ram.

Well, I don't think it's a hack, but technically, it could be a malicious program in the background, made for the sole purpose of eating RAM. Though I think there should be a limit on how much RAM a program can eat in the newer Windows versions..not sure though.

Its hard to imagine that files would break by playing the game; and nothing else on the rig changing. The WD Black the game is on is very reliable, and not memory related.

But will try that anyway.

Did you actually check the usage of RAM when this problem occured?

lol you dont even wrote if you use a 32 or 64 bit system which is a huge point if you talk about ram. And asking me about altzheimers?
No problem seems you dont want help if you are that impolite....

I just re-booted the system.

I was probably just checking here to see if there might be a known security issue where a server can be infiltrated to shut down your game by sending you a Ram drain signal or sumthing.

It might not happen again...

Will go back to testiung/gaming.

Happy hunting.
