Free Cam in cs:go demos?

Hi everyone,

I've lately have been trying to play around with demos, just for fun, but i've came up to this problem. Even after looking up how to use free cam in google, for me it does not work. I follow every instruction given in any tutorial/thread, but my camera keeps being stuck on spot, and doesn't move freely.

May I be doing something wrong?

There are 2 kind of demos, the one recorded on server and on client. You can only free roam in demo recorded from server.

Which means I can't free roam on a demo that I downloaded from my game earlier?.

If you downloaded it from matchmaking history, then you should be able to fly around. If you recorded it on community server then not.

I did download it from Matchmaking History, and it doesn't let me, I go into it, but it seems I'm pinpointed there, I even changed the movement bindings, but nothing :(

Nope I didn't find any answers

It does that when the demo is paused. Un-pause the demo, then switch through the modes and you can move around freely.

not for me, Mine stays static on the place.

If the demo is paused, then you shouldn't be able to fly around. You need to resume in order to do so.

I cannot go to freecam in anyway, I've unbinded space but what's the command to freecam? I can't go anywhere than to firstperson on the player, and it's when it's not paused too! THANKS FOR ANSWERS.

EVERYONE, its because the demo has to be playing, not paused, if you put 0.5 speed, camera will move at 0.5 speed, 1/4 speed, camera will move that slow. Pause it, then camera doesnt move :/

You have to resume the demo first before you can switch

Stupid idea: (dont really use demos) sv_cheats 1 and noclip? Or is that not available for replays?
