Other than that, I could just recommend completely uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, trying beta drivers if you didn't try them yet, or trying normal drivers if you had trouble with beta drivers.
is it overclocked ?
It's either restart or sign out from Windows then back in. Either way, it's sure to happen again.
The issue only occurs in CS:GO. It may in other games, but it's understandable since it usually happens when the computer's been on for a whole night.
I'll try uninstalling then reinstalling my drivers. My guess is that it's the fact that my drivers could be on the Beta phase.
If all else fails, I'll bring it to a shop. Thanks for the advice!
I'm pretty sure I have more than 600 watts on my PSU. It's probably around the 700-750 range.
And yes, my GPU is overclocked. As I said in my reply to llolschrauber, the issue only happens in CS:GO, and rarely in other games.
Should give you a clue....
Well... not exactly.
I've never had the issue before though, like, I could run CS:GO smoothly, and crash-freely on higher resolutions (e.g 1920x1080).
I don't mind keeping it at 800x600 though, it's a great resolution for my aim. Although I'm looking to try 4:3, 1280x760, I tried it, but then to my surprise, the issue occured.
As I said, I had a similar problem in some games, but not all of them.
See if you can find a tool to check your GPU memory, not sure if memtest can do that.
It's been a while, so I don't quite remember what it is I did to fix the issue (besides upgrading HAHA).
I do believe the next best thing to do is to completely uninstall your current graphics driver using DDU, then re-installing using something like GeForce Experience, or NVIDIA's installers.
If that doesn't work, maybe try checking if you have anything overclocked. I've had experiences before where Source Engine games wouldn't play well for whatever reason, with my OC'd GPU, so I'd have no option but to keep it at stock clocks.
yeah i know my GPU is overclocked from the manufacture himself, but to be honest i have no clue how to clock the GPU back at the stock clock.
DDU doesnt work as well tho, tried it multiple times :^
necro? wat
Does your GPU manufacturer have their own official overclocking software? If so, check that, they may have the presets you're looking for.
DDU not working? What do you mean exactly?
Nice necro anyway, 6 years!
