probelem is, how do you stop it. If someone gets banned for a game and they still want to play it, they need to make a new account. IP won't work since several people in the same home can have accounts.

This is the group.Block these guys and avoid them at any cost.
BUT I do have an idea that VALVE can implement that can help smurfing and hackers!
FIRST, I would love if someone with more tech expertise to correct me if I am flawed in this idea.
Alt accounts would be sharing the same STEAM folder on a computer, right?
If there are 2 accounts and they both have access to CS-GO, or if they have the same game, they would still use the same core folders/files, minus the player folder.
So if a steam user starts steam. Steam itself will know there are multiple accounts to that computer. With that information handy, when that player launches a game, he will be flagged as a player with more than one account.
I hope I didn't lose anyone thus far.
They are free to play however they want to. Here is where the idea kicks in.
Players like you and I will have the option of not playing with players that have multiple accounts.
There would be an on/off option. Play with players with multiple accounts?
If you select NO, and join a queue, you will not be thrown in with players that have multiple accounts with the same game.
This should deter you from queueing with smurfs and hackers.
How does this idea sound?
