Alt CSGO accounts need to be stopped
What exactly is the community response from fair play gamers to the ever increasing use of alt csgo accounts?

Personally I'm sick of this alt smurf accounts that completely ruin competitive match making, playing outside their rank to protect their precious high rank main accounts and then those who spend tha match ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around just for the fun of it.

I just played a mtach with two alt accounts that repeatedly team killed me, dropped grenades on the team at round start and ran their mouths of the entire match.

This kind of ♥♥♥♥ has to stop, it's ruining an otherwise great competitive game mode, users shouldn't be allowed to run an alt account in order to protect their main and switch over from VAC banned accounts. The match making needs to be fixed or steps need to be taken to stop this kind of play.

The problem is that Valve benefits from these secondary accounts, as people will have to rebuy the game.

my alt is higher than my main.

sounds like good candidates for over watch grief bans. did you report them in game?

do you have any proposals for how to stop people from using alt accounts? many people before you have logged the same complaint, and no one so far has a good solution.

you cant really stop someone from having two accounts. Thats like trying to stop someone from opening two email accounts

Another way to complain about smurfs. So original.

You are Tom and they are Jerry and therefore are smarter than you.

It will never happen. Too much profit to lose. Valve probably loves this face, and it's the reason why they do nothing about it.
The problem isn't that people don't agree with you, its;

1. How exactly would you actually stop it from happening?

and

2. Why would Valve really do anything about it as it makes them more money.

Best way to deal with smurfs is to get better. Best way to get better is to deal with smurfs. Don't complain about having to deal with players that're better than you; it's counter productive. Instead, just shoot them better.
yup, another one of these "GET BETTER" replies...
1) Valve.
2) Money.
3) Valve + Money.
4) Valve doesn't give a sh!t.

It's not pointless, just highly unlikely.

how are you going to defirientiate a alt account agains another person sharing the same computer and buying his or hers new account? how are you going to determinate whats an alt account and how is it supposed to block a person of doing so? you can easily buy the game and create an account from a phone, so its no use to ban IPs

There is simply no good way to solve this problem. You can make the game more expensive, you can raise the number of wins you need, before you can play without going in CD every 2 wins, or a simple Play Time Limiter, where you can choose, how much +/ - hours your enemy must have to play with you.

E.g.: You got 400 hours. You choose +/ - 50 hours, so your enemies have to have around 350 and 450 hours of gameplay.

But now, why would Valve do that?

A play time requirement to get access to competitive would be a great idea, add a 5v5 casual gamemode and make only hours played in these offical valve 5v5 casual servers count to this hour requirment.

This would avoid people idling to achieve the playtime requirment and if you then set the playtime requirements at a high value like 500hours (i know sounds extreme) it would clean up competitive and keep it clean.

I think people should be ranked before they can play Competative. Seeing that it is not possible, they can play on Competative servers that allow unranked players to play. When someone starts a lobby, they can choose to play or not play with unranked players...
