Does you planting the bomb and winning not get you an MPV ?

Only asking...... as for a few days now, in Casual, I have noticed that when I plant the bomb, and we win, I get no MPV...
I don`t often look at things like MPV...

NM if its to do with having it have to actually explode. I wasn`t paying attention during training.

The MVP isn't always awarded for the bomb plant. It seems a random occurance, it is more likely to go to most kills. Similar case with defusal, it's not a guarantee.

Many thanks.... wasn`t sure... When I had planted in the past, I noticed I got MPV, but recently....

Cleared up a grey area.

The bomb also has to actually go off for the MVP, planting is not enough.

I don't think so. I've had 4k's get ignored by a defusal or bomb plant. MVP award seems to do whatever it feels like doing.

hmm, I have noticed the same thing myself.
I get 4 kills in the round but the guy that hid and let me do the killing gets the defuse and the mvp.
Then there was 1 round where I got 4 kills, I was defusing and a teammate knifed me as a joke.
He defused the bomb and I got the mvp.

It isn`t Overall poinst based is all I know. Otherwise only the top 3? would get the MPV... and its down through the list almost always.

There is a list somewhere I saw when CSGO was first released.

From what I remember, it relates to your contribution to the round.

Things like:

Bomb Plants
Bomb Defusals
Average Damage in the round
Number of Saving your team from deaths
Grenade damage etc

MVPs are per round. Like Electric and I described, sometimes the MVP goes to a person that made less points in the round (4 kills is 8 points, defusal is 2 I think) so clearly this isn't the case.

Got it.
You can do better than anyone who gets MPV by being constistent (without getting MPV yourself), but where you do not play brilliant (not enough to shine at pole position).

Yeah it has to explode. Then the bomb planter will get the MVP star.
