Disable Auto Weapon Pickup

Anyone know how to disable picking up primary weapons when you don't have one?

This always f***s me up in save rounds in 1v1 (etc.) situations.

disable weapon pickup, I dont think so.

you can however disable the option to automatically switch on pickup.

Start game -> Options -> Game Settings -> Item Settings -> Switch weapon on pick up

Change this to no.

You will still pick up stuff when you have an empty slot for it but it won't automatically draw the weapon anymore.

Does it make any noise when u pick up a dropped wep or grenade etc ?

Go to the console and type cl_autowepswitch 0

This has screwed me so many times along with the weapon scroll on the mouse.

One time I was rushing mid with tec9, killed a guy and picked up his m4 with no ammo and got killed soon after.

NEVER AGAIN.

it makes a noice except you are creeping (isnt it?)... turn of autoswitch to picked up weapon
