NEW COBBLESTONE GOOD?

I have seen lots of people saying how bad cobblestone is, but i actually think that it is quite fun to play!

Who else thinks that it is good?

it's better, but its still way too corner-y and just plays like a pub map. I dont see why they couldn't just 1:1 port the Source version, which was fine for competitive play, albeit a bit CT sided.

It seems alright to me, I've seen people complain about Ts getting to B too fast but the same thing happens sometimes with Dust 2, just depends on the spawns and things.

I have been playing this map since it was changed, before I played just 1 time and though was awful for competitive because too much camp spots, making it 90% CT side as we saw on MLG Finals NiP vs LDLC, ESL Cologne NiP vs Cloud9 where all people was lost lol

But now I think is a very good map, I can't stop playing it :D

Source was not taken so serious, plus was 90% CT side, awful map full of camp spots, a real pub map made for 20 vs 20. It was used in 1.6 also but they realized was awful, and RIP cobblestone till today.

how was source "not taken so serious"? it had a bigger competitive scene than 1.6 at more than a few points in time. I suppose you are to new to actually remember theCGS and other events like that, where cbble was played regularly. im pretty sure cbble was a map in CAL and early CEVO seasons rotation aswell. the map was fine, the T side was a bit rough due to the spawns being so random and the chokepoint on B being so tiny. it was the kind of map where winning 3 rounds on T was enough.

1.6 was bigger till 2012, with +100.000$ price pools, players like f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, Neo are dominating CS:GO for 2 years. Friberg from Source said f0rest, GeT_RiGht, Xzist were more skilled than him when they started playing CS:GO.

what are you even on about? nothing you just said even corelates to what I mentioned earlier. Source was a massive game in the competitive community, every 1.6 team that mattered (internationally) jumped ship to CSS for theCGS, which had a prizepot of 5 million dollars (250k for each player on the team - the rest went to some other games like FIFA and a few others). the drafted players got 30k per season on their contracts. season 1 was won by a 1.6 team (da_bears, tr1p and a few others), while the second season was won by a CSS team from the UK.

I think the changes were for the better, camping bomsite A as CT is a little bit more difficult and the Terrorists now have more cover when approaching the bombsites.

Nope, thats not true, there were 1.6 matches they didn't played Source and not 5millon lol

If that is true, sure GeT_RiGhT and f0rest, best players in the world go there and won that easy, not an UK team.

Just players that could not compete at the level of 1.6 moved to Source, f0rest moved in 2012 from 1.6 to CS:GO
