AutoHotKey virus?

So I downloaded Autohotkey (AHK) for somet things on my desktop and possibly CSGO (Haven't done any research to see if AHK can get you VAC banned). I noticed that once I downloaded AHK from their website my games started to perform very badly and froze almost every 2 or 3 seconds for half a second, which is obviously irritating. So I was wondering if AHK was the source and if I am dealing with a virus, and what program or application I could use to help get rid of whatever slowed down my computer. Thanks in advance!

CSGO doesn't like things messing with it. If it does things automatically for you, it might get you banned.

Alright, so now I know not to use AHK for CSGO, but could you help me with helping my computer get back up to speed?
