autoexec.cfg not working...
Been trying to fix this for about an hour now with still no results.
I really do not want to resort to having re-install the game.
I have saved my autoexec.cfg in my config and as all files with the name of autoexec.cfg. I've typed +exec autoexec into my set launch options, I've deleted my auto exec about 6 times to individually do each step necessary to set up the autoexec. ALthough typing exec autoexec.cfg into the console does eventually execute the file, but it's annoying to have to manually do that each launch. Nothing is working. Someone please help...
This is what is currently in my autoexec;
----------------VIEWMODEL SETTINGS---------------------
//Viewmodel FOV
viewmodel_fov "68"
viewmodel_offset_x "2.5"
viewmodel_offset_y "1"
viewmodel_offset_z "-1.5"
host_writeconfig
EDIT
Currently showing inconsle upon launch that relates to the CFG (i presume)
Can't use cheat cvar cl_teamid_overhead in multiplayer, unless the server has sv_cheats set to 1.
Can't use cheat cvar cl_teamid_overhead_maxdist in multiplayer, unless the server has sv_cheats set to 1.

EDIT 2:
This is what stands in my set launch options:
-freq 120 -novid -threads 4 -console -high

Firstly, no need for +exec autoexec in launch options. Secondly put the following in the last line of the Autoexec.cfg:

host_writeconfig

Put "exec autoexec" in your config.cfg, and set to read only.

It's already there and I'll try removing the +exec autoexec...

If config.cfg is read-only untick it. Make it writeable.

Right click on Config.cfg then untick the readonly checkbox and apply.

Don't mess with the hidden attribute.

Yeah I just left it as it was. Regardless of all your suggestions nothing is working. I have searched for any existing autoexec folders and deleted them all and created a new one with all the necessary settings and still nothing is working.
