CS GO noob gets Gold Nova 2 rank?
I am said noob, so noob I come from Call of Duty and decided to accept to play CS GO, which I refused CONSTANTLY to a friend to play CS GO with him (over a year) until a steam sale came out and I bought it out of pity to play it with him. Turns out the game isn't as rigid as I thought but I still fkn hate those instant headshot and that spray pattern gay thing that you can't ADS (aim down the sights) with every gun, only the scoped one WHICH HAVE A SPRAY PATTERN AS WELL SO SHOTS DON'T GO OUT DIRECTLY WHERE YOUR AIMING AT unless it's the AWP.

I do average on games and I always end up in the top three places and most likely died 50% of the rounds and people below my score have more kills which I don't get. Another friend of mine has over 100 hours of CS GO and he is Silver, I barely got 30 and started at Gold Nova 2, which is kind of funny and unfair at the same time. Do you guys know why do I get such high scores?

Things I usually do in my competitive matches:

-Fail pistol round 70% of the time because I miss 65% of pistol shots which usually means I die or survive the round because I'm always LAST to the fight and my team rekt the other team (I don't like rushing, I usually die when I do).

-Buy UMP45 second round and usually get 2-3 kills, like a guarantee, I fkn love the UMP <3.

-Plant the bombe? Defuse? Oh... you talking to me?? I do plant when I have the bomb and defuse when I can but it's usually somebody else that does that.

-I play average, sometimes I play really good and others I feel I miss every shot because I swing the weapon opposite to the spray pattern which usually means I only tilt the weapons downwards a little, sometimes I kill sometimes I don't, kinda like 50-50 chance of killing which is not that bad.

-Headshot aiming? What? No, I spray and get headshots and I don't even know how, but I get a lot of headshots by spraying, its hilarious, but never doing that one shot kills with the ak, I suck with the ak most of the time.

This is my usual play, I'm not bad and great at following orders that are sent to me like taking AWPs for teammates or waiting for the other players to ambush them, but other than that, I'm pretty average. I know I got lucky, but why was I ranked so high for my skill? I find some players that kill me from angles I never even saw where that shot came from.

It took me around 14 comp matches to get the 10 wins, I played with a friend that was almost Gold Nova I and another Silver Elite friend, and after the wins, I got Gold Nova II, wat? After reading all my possibly most accurate description, why did I get so lucky?

Thanks for reading if you did, I'm open for friendly matches when I'm not working, or at the university ._.'...

See around soon I'm sure,

-Mangu

Gold Nova 2 is a bad rank, so since you have played cod before its comprehensible to not get a higher rank.

Gold Nova ranks are pretty average. Anything above it is considered a good player.

I wouldn't say "good player". I would say good player is LE+ tbh.

On my other accs in my earlier days I played alot of CoD. But some years after that I changed to CSGO. Which I bought on this account so I don't have my games on the same acc. Anyways. I've got 10 competitive wins and got the rank Master Guardian Elite. After some time like 50-60 comps I was Legendary Eagle Master. And like 3-4 comps after that im now Supreme Master First Class.

Lol, good to know. I never take shooters seriously, tho I play to win, CS GO is a refreshing shooter with different mechanics than other FPSs for sure. Being a CoD fan doesn't make me immediately below average CS GO player tho. I don't really care about ranking being high or low, I play to play, I don't get paid for it. Your comment was noted but, you kinda lost me with that last part Ace.

Yea. Can be confusing. Anyways Gold 2 is an average rank since you came from CoD and it can be really confusing beacuse theres alot of features that ain't in CSGO but in CoD.

Any tips on not sucking Melon? Because I have a horrible long range accuracy...

What's your CPI and sensitivity setting?
Nesjka May 22, 2015 @ 7:21am
xD
Malarkey May 22, 2015 @ 7:26am
Oh... I have slightly high sensitivity, don't know the CPI/DPI though, but I put it on high because it was one thing I learned from CoD was quick snapping to aiming the other player. Just read that high sensitivity is bad, but I feel like playing slowmo If I change it D:. I'm more of a casual fan though but these dudes with 5 year veteran coins are a pain in the ass most of them... like... wow... feels like most of them have aimbot active xD (I know they're just players that have dominated CS GO, most of them, emphasize of the MOST, cuz I've seen pretty bad veterans too xD).

I have a small static white crosshair that helps the learning on how to control the spray pattern, but... that's about it.

Anything under supreme is bad. And anyone under should feel bad because they are. Sorry if the truth hurts.

Really? Are you trying to hurt my feelings, is that it? Hahaha, I've had worse trolling in League of Legends, do something better with your time... seriously though... if everyone was good there would be no competition... or maybe that thought is too advanced for your primate instincts.

And just so you know Hawkachu, no, truth doesn't hurt at all, I know I'm bad, unlike you, who thinks being good at CS GO is worth something. I also have better things to do with my life than telling people how bad they should feel based on a videogame, I bet your mom is really proud on your CS GO skills.

If I really wanted to, I would be Global Elite Master all up in yo ass kid, but I have better things to do like I said c:.

If someone else has a friendly response and decides to prove wrong what internet says about CS GO having a rotten and filthy community, please comment, or keep trolling, whatever. I will read a trolling response, but I won't waste any more time answering, it's just not worth it.

I am that generous, letting you know I read your trolling comment, you can feel special now.
