Katowice: History repeats, Why didn't we buy any sticker capsules.

This may be worse than last time! ......Katowice holo/foil stickers will soar in price

Katwoice 2014 stickers sell for up to 280 euro with the cheapest being over 5 euro. The average high grade is around 20 euro. Yet with Katowice 2015 there are less high quality stickers versus the low grade Katowice 2014 stickers and those stickers sell for 20 euro. So do the math.


Yet no one cashed in this time round either :)

The initial reduction sale saw the foils already at a premium price, and maybe people were reluctant to get into the capsule market waiting for a drop in price.

There were very many basic high grade stickers sold.There are plent of those out there.


There are fewer foil or holo sold. Also not many capsules to replace them.

The foil are technically better then the origional Katowice 2014 high grade stickers available, well because the 2015 are foil. So I bought what I could afford, maybe only 10. They were pricey even then, and i got a fair few i cloud holo because they were popular in dreamhack. Got like 3 capsules :) Not sure why i didn't buy more of them..i assumed eveyone else would lol

My theory is that everyone is skint because of Cologne and Dreamhack caps not working out and are limited on cash this time round.

So this Aprils operations could see the market crash and burn; so my advice is free up some cash.

The sticker bubble already crashed. If you look at the Dreamhack capsules those are still selling at or around the sale price. You're better off investing in the base grade stickers if you want better returns with less payout.

Yes and No. The origional bubble was hysterically out of proportion, 280 euro for an ibuypower holo sticker, however the demand is greater than before..and yet there are fewer holo/foils then 2014. There are 14,000 cologne capsules left and yet only 4,300 katowice capsules on the market. That's not many!
