Maybe go into your windows audio settings and check which one is set default and maybe try do disable all other output devices. Maybe, "maybe" somehow just cs:go is using a different output device.

My internet browser (youtube), steam itself (Messages from people) and other games (Tested H1Z1 & Mount and blade) all have game sound ; so its just CS:GO that doesn't have any sound what so ever.
If it is just not showing any sound so no green at all it is something in your cs:go going wrong (which is my guess) otherwise It is your computer/speakers.
Wauw, what the heck is going on here. I guess you already tried to simply restart your computer to see if that fixes anything?
In short.
I opened up command prompt (Ran as admin) and then put this in ;
net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice
net localgroup Administrators /add localservice
and everything is working. :)
hey DyN..
i got the same problem as you were facing ...
i did'nt even touched anything .. everyting was working so properly and next day suddenly my in-game sound dissappeared ...
i'have also tried your solution of command prompt but even that did'nt worked for me ...
DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SOLUTIONS PLEASE ???
Hi Alex, unfortunately no. If you've tried every step in this post including what fixed it for me and it still doesn't work then i have no other suggestions. Sorry. If you do manage to find out what the problem is for yourself and what you did to fix it please put it in this post for future refrence.
