I have a $2500 computer and I play CS:Go on a 4:3 aspect ratio (low resolution too), Low graphics settings and a 24 inch screen. I don't like gaming on a laptop. Get a PC :p

your computer may be bad but it doesn't mean it's the reason you play bad a better 1 would definitely help but skill comes with practice not frames or how good your computer is.

As long as you maintain 64+ fps, there's no technical handicap; your command rate sent to the server is tied to your fps, if you have <64 fps then you aren't getting the hitreg you're supposed to. It can also be argued that it's harder for you to make microadjustments to your aim and track moving targets with a low FPS as well.

If you have less than 30 FPS(stable) you have a problem. Try to play somewhere with 60+ fps and you feel the difference.

If you have a bad framerate, it may be your GPU (Graphics Processor Unit) I had a framerate of 20, than the GPU increased it to over 90

lol i play with 30 fps stable. but the only problem i encounter is when i have to run through a smoke, then the screen starts to skip. so that is definitely a disadvantage not to be able to use tactical smokes. but other than that i dont think the difference is too high.

High FPS + high monitor refresh rate = higher potential

But that doesn't mean you will become a pro over night.

I think only refresh rate makes sense and internet, graphics do not really care

People with better pcs do have an advantage over us wit the crappy low fps pcs.. my laptop is horible to and notice tht i get killed before even seein anyone.. like they see me before i see them and we both looking right at each other..

I did notice that when I went from a crappy laptop to a pc I built I did drastically improve

Of course, that's exactly how it works. The more money you spend on your PC, the better you are at a game.

Less than 100 fps will definately effect your ability to play.
I can't aim decently below 200 FPS and will just start to do spraying only.
