Rank dropped after Winning a match?

Why did my rank drop down after i won a match? any ideas why this is happening? wtf is this?

probably a win before got rescinded for hosting a hacker on your team

Was it a close game? like 16-14 , 16-13? If so even tho you won you still "lost" 14 or 13 rounds, and if the players on the other team were lower than your rank, you lost a lot of points. Gotta destroy teams that are lower rank than yours.

16-7.. we won, And the teams were pretty balanced, we got 1 silver..

I think what happened was a delayed rank drop. Basically you were ment to drop ranks lets say (as an example) last game. You lost 16-4 and you did not derank. Now your MMR rating will be around the levels of the rank below you. Your MMR after that loss could just be a few points off the derank tick. So the victory you just achieved. You lost more MMR in the game which will trigger the de-rank tick. You can win and still lose lots of MMR points due to other players being a much lower ranking than you are. Bottom scoring as well as getting 0 or the lowest MVP awards.

It happened to me in 2013 when after ban cheaters rank stay the same.

Maybe thats what happened then. game before that rank drop i played Tie, then win, and rank drop

Ranks were made, so people play againts people with same skill, if you get better you get rank, if you play worse you lose rank.
