CS GO Fatal Error failed to connect to local steam client process
Hi,
everytime I launch CSGO I get the error in the title. Before that I got the error: This game requires steam! , even though I got the game legit, my steam is up to date and I have already reinstalled my CS and my Steam... all other games (including CSS) are working perfectly fine.
Help please

ez fix exit steam go back ez :steamsalty:
If nothing else is working try clicking on steam in the left top corner. Go to properties , select the downloads tab and clear cache. steam will ask you to login again. do it and everything will be fine
helpppppppppppppppppppppppppp me
Help, I have the same error! :(
ANYONE WHO STILL HAS THE PROBLEM

Verify Game intagrity cache ( right click csgo<properties<updates<verify game integrity cache

AND THEN

Cntrl alt delete, task manager, steam bootstrapper client, then close the client and re-open steam. Worked for me
No need to delete anything, if u believe that you have a legit version of CS-GO and ur steam is up to date, then you need to close steam and restart it,
how you do that?
Open task manager in windows, kill all the steam apps running in the session,
eg > SteamClientBootstraper etc,
after doing it reopen your steam and enjoy the game!

support didnt say anything yet BUT i found the solution anyways: go to your steam directory, delete everything except steam.exe and steamapps (because thats where your games are installed) then you double click steam.exe and it redownloads steam. that fixed it for me
im trying it now

i didnt know what to do so i googled it and came to this page. nothing here helped. but i know what to do:
1: right click on csgo.
2: click on propreties.
3: click on local files.
4: click on verufy integrity of game cache.
5: wait!
6: click on steam and click exit.
7: open steam.
8: click on csgo and click play!
9: wait for "first time setup"
10: play!
11: send me money.

enjoy!:steamhappy:
Literally the only thing you need to do is, go to your task manager (assuming you know what that is xD) and then you close out ever instance of steam you see, and then you close that out and start steam up, in my case CS:GO started up again.
My solution:
Crtl+Alt+Delete and Task Manager → Process Tab → End EVERYTHING START WITH Steam → Reopen Steam → Update → Should be able to start shooting now
