A lot of CS players don't recommend laser mice, and they certainly don't recommend high DPI.
I spend 33 hours straight playing Quake once, I almost failed an exam in uni because of it too!
In the end, there isn't one mouse or mouse pad to rule them all, it's a journey I believe most gamers will have to take, the quest to find the right mouse, mouse pad and keyboard for them, some never find THE one but generally there will at least be one mouse that works good enough.
Gaming mouse + Mousepad really improves your aim.
I got a Logitech G400s mouse, it is really good and not that expensive :)
I hope you will take a look at it, It is worth it :)
