http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Operations
Global Operations was released in 2002. Counter Strike was released as a half life mod in 1999 and released by valve as a game in 2000.
While I can agree Global Operations was a great game, do not make false statements trying to ruin CS's reputation claiming cs ripped global operations off. CSGO stands for Counter Strike Global Offensive btw.
No problem. You posted this into cs go discussions so I assumed that maybe you're confused about the games. You do know now that CS did not rip off Global Operations, I hope.
I don't see how they could've taken anything from global operations when cs was made first.
I think you're being silly. CSS was released in 2004 and there's nothing from global operations in css that was copied. I played alot of global operations and it's just another fps. If you played call of duty 2 you'd probably feel the same way that cs go copied call of duty 2.. no.. that's not true. They just improved on css and released cs go. They tried to make a better buy menu which is why I think you say csgo ripped off global operations since when you select a gun it has a circle just like in cs go, but that's wrong because in global operations you select the primary gun from a square menu, in cs go you go to different gun types on the wheel. The guns work differently and the run, walk work differently. Global Operations has classes, cs go doesn't. You select a loadout at the start of a global operations map and you play with that loadout till the end of the mission. Grenades have a launch time hud.
You tell me, what did cs go take from global operations?
