Banned for getting kicked too many times.
TLDR; Got banned for ”getting kicked too many times” even though I haven’t been kicked in 5-10 games (could check exact amount of games later). Just came off a recent 24 hour ban yesterday. Why did i get a ban anyway?

Got kicked in my last match and got a 7 day ban, which is totally understandable. However I got off a 24 hour ban a couple days ago and I’ve played somewhere between 5-10 matches so shouldn’t like something have reset. I thought it was up until like 3 matches if you did something similar you would get banned. But i havent been banned or kicked for at least 5 games now. For any smartasses that want to say ”oh its your fault though”. Yes, the first three bans were on me (just trolling really). However this last one I queued up with a team that needed 1 more player and they kicked me because I didn’t clutch so yeah. Anyway getting a bit sidetracked, was just wondering why I got banned again even though I haven’t been kicked for like 5-10 games. Thank you.

Well, it looks like you've been "kicked" out of the game one too many times! Maybe it's time to brush up on your skills and stop giving your teammates a reason to send you packing. Or, you know, you could always try being a more charming and lovable teammate - that could work too. In any case, it's important to remember that there are consequences for our actions, even in the virtual world of CS:GO. So, be a good sport and play fair - your ban-free future depends on it!

It looks like you didn't read the whole post! I didn't do anything morally wrong, like troll or hurt teammates. I just got kicked because they didn't like me and also because their teammate got disconnected because of his poor internet (and got a cooldown), so they probably thought the game was lost anyway, hence why they kicked me. As I also stated in the post I hadn't been kicked/banned or done any griefing the past 5-10 games, but I still got a cooldown. 100% this response isn't going to mean much to you though, as you'll probably keep thinking I'm this horrible teammate that flames and never takes responsibility, You seem to be fantastic at critizing others meanwhile you should probably take a look at yourself instead. Just checked your profile and you don't even have CS:GO on your account so yeah...

Read this guide and you'll have a full understanding on the system and with understanding it, you'll see yourself getting less and less cooldowns.

No problem and good luck.

The TL;DR version is you broke a lot of rules in a very short amount of time. To the point that the automated system sees you disrupting matches as a common thing and as such it will punish you for breaking ANY rules harshly.

You'll need to play 4 weeks without a single infraction before you're getting back to down to 30 minute cooldowns. Otherwise you're going to be getting 7 days back to back to back for ANY minor rule break. Even kicking someone when you didn't call the vote.

Ooh okay that explains it. I’ve always thought the ban counter or whatever it’s called is reset after x amount of games, and not by how many weeks you have been not banned. Don’t know why but that”s what I thought, so this cleared up a lot of confusion, cheers!

Also does this mean I can play like once a week, or do I have to play everyday for 4 weeks in order for the ban system to reset?
