CS2 knife prices prediction !?
Everyday price is going up in steam market. But suddenly there is a stability. What you experts think ? Will it start to go down after the hype ends. Because sellers can raise the price, but there will be less buyers. Already saw this happening with doppler knives. Even Gut knifes and Navaja dopplers went to 300$+, but now they get sold barely. So will it go down ? Is this the time to sell knives we already we have and wait for the price drop and rebuy ?

Prices wont go up much, navaja and gut dopplers as example, demand isn't high at all on these knives (people were buying these just bcz of hype on dopplers, not thinking much), they will go down in price with time to the more grounded value. Some dopplers alrdy got nerfed, black pearl as example, so before cs2 release we can't say what's gon happen to all the skins.

I think it really depends on how popular cs2 will remain in the future. Alot of old players are coming back to the game right now and they want to buy a knife. But we have to see if they will remain playing the game for a longer period of time.

keep an eye on high float bs m9 that show a lot of the vanilla m9 beneath the visual wear (e.g. boreal/safari/scorched/urban)

those are going to get a massive visual improvement in s2

the vanilla m9 got the biggest visual improvement in s2 (out of the vanilla knives)

i think the vanilla m9 will disappear from the steam market completely in about 6 months

bunch of noob morons hoarding every aspect of the market. gonna crash like 2021 and many times before when they realize prices wont keep going up forever (paris major or operation will cause it) player base will go up a lil but new players usually dont spend hundreds on skins or even 20 bucks on a sticker craft no where near making these prices viable. really doesnt matter if skins "look better" because everything in the game looks better. awaitng the day of reckoning so i can buy a dragonlore

But one thing as one of the guy mentioned above, if they patched or update some visual effects of these knives before the official release it can impact the price.

But yes right now I saw many vanilla knives look so clean in cs2. Vanilla knives look like Factory New Black Autotronic in cs2.

i agree, any further changes will impact the prices

however, i stand by what i predicted about the m9, they're not going to revert it back to the grey and white bird crap vanilla m9 metal we have in csgo, there's no chance of that

that day will never come

valve is going to keep updating/upgrading cs to satisfy future generations, as the technology advances, cs will also undergo changes to keep up

this game will never die

better invest sooner rather than later

Same trend as it's always been. Prices will continue going up but will start to come down once the hype dies down. After that they'll continue to go up again at a normal pace.

that's true

but one thing to keep in mind folks, is that the trajectory isn't the same for all knives, butterfly knives are on a steeper rise, imo get your hands on one now, ANY butterfly knife, as expensive as they are now, they're only going to get more expensive

the butterfly will always remain the community's #1 ranked knife in csgo

EDIT: and you might think some butterfly skins/conditions are ugly... while that might be true, the main selling point of the butterfly are the animations, so don't worry about the skin, all butterflies will go up and up and up and up

i agree the game will never die. i have investments out the arse i have been compiling for years that have multiplied in a completely unnatural pace over the last 3 months. skins are always most expensive this time of year following lunar new year and the complete drought of content since riptide is unprecedented + rio failure + cs2 hype. there will be new stickers/content, new skins, new gloves and knives finishes for years to come constantly adding to the supply of already existing items. out of the hundreds of stickers and capsules ive sold recently i have seen a handful actually applied/opened. the sell-off from noob "investors" who only know 5x 10x 20x returns when an operation arrives or when we run out of rubes to sell to will be a crash like we've seen many many times. everything is a cycle. cs2 would have to reach some kind of fortnite level of player base to support prices like this. just my 2 cents tho keep buying up if you feel otherwise. only time will tell

i'm not the type who takes my own advice, i only have 3 items in my inventory, and i'm not investing in anything, i only buy for love of the skin, not for profit

Got my knife for £155 just sold for £277 (£240) so made £85.
It was the thought of the price dropping that made me sell.

I am going to buy butterfly knife soon but I don't know if I should wait a little in case prices would drop :steamsad: What do you guys think?

Think about the price increase with the little bit of hype from cs2 and the handful of people who were actually able to play. Imagine when everyone can play and its fully released. Multiply this recent increase imo.

absolutely buy asap

the butterfly isn't like other knives

for most other knives, you'll see a lot of fluctuating waves, up down up down with a slow overall increase over time, but the butterfly is a one way climb, up up up up
