How can I Fix Fps to 120?
Hi, I am looking for setting option to fix the fps of CSGO in 120 always. I have got 170 fps aprox and 95% GPU Usage. I want to put fix 120 to get low temp in GPU.

I know that the game has got the command:

fps_max 120

but, I want to get 120 fps always without writting in console the same command in all sessions.

I want to change in csgo config files and option (if exists) to fix 120 fps always.

Are there an option in the files of the game? launch option? or, Do I need to put always "fps_max 120" in console when I go to play CSGO?

Thanks.

Go to your Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg folder, make a new textfile and type in it the commands you want to run when the game starts up.
Then rename the file to autoexec.cfg.

Here is mine:
fps_max "144" fps_max_menu "144" cl_showfps "1" host_writeconfig
The last line prevents the game's scripts from overriding your commands, which sometimes happens.

Please, don't. fps_max works better.

Just put "fps_max 120" in your config.cfg file.

Wouldn't also work if you add +fps_max 121 to the (command line) arugments? At least is in TF2, i am not sure if it is the same in CS:GO

why dont you want more fps? imo you should only cap your fps if you cant maintain over 144fps like i said imo but do fps_max 120
