You can play with whatever ranks you want if you have a 5man lobby; do that.
You're not forced to make a smurf, you're forced to find friends. You'd rather take the easy route and spend $10 for a smurf. There's several threads here, an active subreddit community (/r/recruitcs), and god knows how many hidden gems there are on the internet. If you have issues making friends, that sounds like 100% a person problem. But it's easier for you to blame Valve and keep smurfing, so you just go ahead and do that.
To me, it seems like your idea of fun is playing people less skilled than you are.
They implemented a rank restriction to stop narcissistic people (much like yourself) from queueing up with people far below their rank to either a) boost the low rank, or b) legitimately smurf.
Do you know what you can do if you can't find 4 friends to play with? Community 5v5, CEVO, FaceIt, IRC. You don't want to do any of that, you want to smurf, and you'll look for any half-baked self-justified reason you need to convince yourself that you have no other choice but to smurf.
Nobody's putting a gun to your head and telling you to log off your main, and nobody's forcing you to take your lower-ranked friends into MM; there are other outlets available. But why acknowledge those when they don't justify smurfing?
Oh, please. Quit being stupid. Nothing I said contradicts itself, and all of your points are irrelevent and/or flat out wrong. I'm well aware of why they made the restriction and in my original post I explained why it does not help. The whole point of this thread is because I want to play with my friend and NOT smurf.
It's as simple as that, and my point remains. I shouldn't need to add a bunch of random people on my friends list that I met in MM just so I can invite them when I want to play with my friend. That solves nothing when it comes to fixing the problem.
but like u said, many think they have to smurf then.
and smurf is a really big problem. so it was bad idea of valve
My point exactly! Thank you.
