[Linux] Wayland stretch fix but no steam overlay
So stretch 4:3 is working perfectly now after editing cs2.sh, this is done by editing the following line:

export SDL_VIDEO_DRIVER=X11

This needs changing to:

export SDL_VIDEO_DRIVER=Wayland

Once done, launching the game initially doesn't stretch, all I had to do was change to fullscreen windowed and back to fullscreen.

This does have a bug for me where steam overlay no longer works. Neither does the store as for some reason I cannot buy keys. Valve pls let me gamble :steamthumbsdown:

Anyone else able to replicate this bug or is it just me??

Update:

Unsure what has changed but I'd like to add more info and a new fix for the following issue.

A recent update has seemed to partly bork CS2 when launching where the mouse clicks aren't registering in game.

Adding -fullscreen to launch parameters fixes this however initially the game will not be stretched. Just set to WINDOWED then back to FULLSCREEN and it will stretch again.

I'm using arch btw (wayland) so this may not be an issue for other distros.

(Still no steam overlay)
@Lemon, just wanted to let you know I'm also running this game on arch, with the SDL_VIDEO_DRIVER=Wayland change and I'm also not able to use my steam overlay in game. I'm not having any issues with mouse input or anything. These are my launch options. Let me know if you figure anything out to get Steam Overlay working in CS2

PROTON_FSR4_UPGRADE=1 game-performance %command% -e
hey, just to let you know, you are unable to use the steam overlay on wayland because the steam overlay relies on X11. the only real option you have is to bite the bullet and stick with using X11 and playing 16:9, or use no overlay and play 4:3. either way you just gotta pray valve changes something, as you can't do anything to change this without altering the overlay itself
