Gallery cases will randomly be given a limited status and a deadline like the deagle at which point people will farm them into oblivion
Gallery cases will randomly be taken off of the armory pass and replaced with something else
Gallery cases will stay in the armory pass forever until valve discontinues loot boxes or shuts down cs2.
Only option 2 is remotely profitable if you're planning to invest now. I personally have invested in some gallary cases but I don't expect to make profit on them.
Reasons they may not get discontinued:
It's too profitable for valve
Valve wants to solve the problems with case supply (the anubis package was unsuccessful in doing so)
Valve didn't give it limited status like they did the deagle which means it might not ever be discontinued
Valve may want the armory store to operate a similar way to the item store where things don't get taken off of it and consumers get more options
Reasons they might get discontinued:
Valve may want to replace the contents of the armory pass at regular intervals
The armory pass may get too cluttered with enough updates so they decide to cut some content
The armory pass is abandoned and valve can't be bothered to maintain it, so refund people with active ones and close it down (they did this with the premium stats in csgo)
It's explicitly mentioned that the passes don't expire so they're likely here to stay. It's a very risky investment to make but it's a classic case of "valve works in mysterious ways" that will either leave you burned (like with the enfu sticker capusle/ M4A4 Griffin / RMR), or in profit.
I genuinely believe that in the unlikely event that these cases were to be discontinued without warning, they'd shoot up in value to at least 5x within a few years.
