What you see, is what you cant get.

also "everyone knows it" — no, people who actually know what subtick is know that subtick isn't a failure in fact.
and if you were like me, saving a clip of every shot that didn't register and analyzed it thoroughly — current spread, network conditions, etc — you would've known that csgo had MUUUUUUCH worse hitreg. subtick finally fixed hitreg for me and for that I am thankful and because of that I don't see myself coming back to csgo to play competitively, only for fun maybe.
In COD they just blatantly adjust the damage output of the players to fit their skill-level.
Cause think about "subtick" for two seconds; it is supposed to give the fair jugdment of who hit who first, but it is supposedly based on clocks starting ticking at the same time at both computers. Then you pull ping into the equation, and it becomes obv. why this won't be fair. At all. It will heavily advantage those with bad ping, cause on ur computer u will never be where the enemy sees you on his computer, jugdements says; not hit. So---- This is probably a lie, this is a non-existing system. Because it would not work.
What is hindering this server-judge to pull other aspects into the equation? Nothing. It is just new-speak for we don't care about the game anymore and now every single encounter is 50 per cent aim and reaction and fifty per cent where are these players in the cycle of nerf-boosting-program we got going for them.
Now I will get a ton of "pfffffft, you just suck at the game". Whatever, I think you probably do, and are among those who benefit from some solid boosting..
Yes, it could, because a hacker does not even need to see the code for the timestamps of the sub-tick, it would probably be easily manipulated from outside the game. Just with some sort of program delaying and manipulating positional data at critical moments.
subtick does not participate in deciding who shot first, the first packet to arrive still decides who shot first
subtick is only needed to give the lag compensation system some extra resolution
They say a local timers starts on both players' computers, and the timestamps of the subtick packages decides. It is the whole reason that they can have the predictor settings; it is the program telling to use local data before they are confirmed from the server; including the subtick timestamp data. Give me an actual break, what do you base your statement on?
I have bloody studied all avaiable data on this; and this is Valve's statement on what subtick is.
That said; I believe subtick is no more than a cloak for doing whatever they want with the duels of players.
These guys rake in billions of dollars, and are just in the business of raking in more.
