Farewell – A Game Ruined by Cheaters and Neglect

Dear Developers,

I am writing this message with great frustration and disappointment. I have reached my limit. This game, which once brought me joy, has now become a cesspool of cheaters, AFK players, and an utterly broken matchmaking system. The state of the game has deteriorated to such an extent that playing it without external platforms like FACEIT feels pointless.

Every two matches, I encounter blatant cheaters on both teams. They use wallhacks, aimbots, spinbots, radar hacks, bunnyhop scripts, triggerbots, and other third-party tools to manipulate the game, ruining the experience for everyone else. It is an absolute joke. Reporting them does nothing. The Overwatch system, if it even functions properly, is not enough to combat this epidemic. Worse still, there is no feedback mechanism to confirm whether reported cheaters have been banned or not.

I have grown tired of downloading demos, reviewing blatant cheaters, and wasting my time submitting reports that seem to go straight into the void. The same cheaters return under different accounts, completely unchecked. The game’s anti-cheat system is failing, and there is no real effort to fix it.

On top of that, matchmaking consistently places me with AFK players, griefers, or those who simply do not care about the game. If I ever decide to AFK in response to this, the system punishes me instead. It’s beyond frustrating—why should I be penalized for simply not wanting to participate in a broken match filled with cheaters?

I refuse to waste any more of my time on this game. There is no point in playing when integrity is non-existent, cheaters run rampant, and honest players are left to suffer. The game’s current state is beyond saving without drastic changes. Until then, I’m done. I am quitting—permanently.

I sincerely hope that someday, the developers will take serious action to fix these fundamental issues. But until that day comes, consider this my farewell.

Sounds like a skill issue, there are no cheaters in CS2.

In my own matches, I’ve seen blatant cheaters—without any doubt—at best once every three matches and at worst once every two matches. I’ve even seen games where both teams had cheaters. I’ve also witnessed this firsthand in Overwatch cases.

Back in the day, my rank was high (Legendary Eagle), so I know how to distinguish a good player from a cheater. But that’s not even the issue—these guys don’t even bother trying to hide their cheats. And let’s not even talk about the stuff happening in Nova 3. When I rewatched match demos after games, it was obvious in most cases that they were cheating, and it wasn’t even hard to tell. Half of these guys don’t even try to cover it up.

So what I’m saying is, VAC bans simply don’t exist.
