VAC unable to verify game session

Believe me or not, idc, but I've never used any cheats or anything. I have almost 3,700hrs in game, knife skin, etc. - even aside from having lots to lose, it's a scummy thing to do.

With that said, two times in the last couple of days, I've been kicked from a Valve dm server (both times I was top of the scoreboard, but not by miles) while warming up with the alert that:

"VAC was unable to verify your game session"

coming up both times. It then consistently wouldn't connect to the game session until I restarted my laptop (just restarting CS wouldn't do it). I even checked on Task Manager and I had no other apps running other than Steam, so I don't know what could have interfered with it.


I've been seeing quite a few people getting kicked from dms by VAC recently, so I'm wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this, and if anyone knows why? Thank you all

just close the game and start it up again..... done

It's just a bug. Open game properties on Steam > verify files. Sometimes you need to reboot PC after this file verification.
