Season 2 starts next week and will end after the Austin Major (June) and users have to win at least 25 matches to be eligible.

I don't think there is a win requirement for season 1.

I think so, for what I saw there aren't any other requirements than having a rating. Season 2 however will also require +25 wins

According to the notes, everyone that has had a rating in season 1 gets a Season 1 commemorative medal with no active CS rating mentioned as necessary. Season 2 is when the CS rating counts and it will give colours then.

You don't need it. I got my 2025 badge with playing maybe 3 at most ranked badges

What will probably happen is legit players will play on their main accounts up to 125 wins, then play with cheaters on the last week to boost their rank and get a better medal.

From my perspective, it's because the game is full of cheaters and the only reason to play it is to collect medals. It doesn't have any value, but it keeps me playing this game.

People who Q with cheaters to get boosted get global cooldowns and lose their ranks. haven't you noticed the amount of ppl coming here crying about it a few weeks ago?

Global cooldowns are from VAC Lives, which do not make you lose your rank, cheaters getting banned does. You're confusing these things

Cheaters are less since Jan 2025 , but this information brings cheaters back to push premier rank as high as possible, even 5k elo players use aimbot as season 1 stats will be recorded and necessary to recaliberate in season to , fck cheaters
