Video Settings
High framerate and minimal input lag are key to performing well in your CS2 matches. Even if you have a specced out PC, it’s recommended that you tweak your CS2 Video settings for the best performance. Here are s1mple’s CS2 Video settings.

Resolution: 1280×960 (stretched 4:3 aspect ratio)
Brightness: User Preference (Adjust for optimal visibility)
Anti-Aliasing: Low
Texture Detail: Low
Shader Detail: Low
Ambient Occlusion: High
High Dynamic Range (HDR): Off
Disable Low Latency: On

Crosshair Settings
Although crosshair is a personal preference, using a pro’s crosshair won’t hurt. After all, they are the best in the game, and following in their footsteps is not a bad idea. With that said, here are s1mple’s crosshair settings.

Viewmodel Settings
CS2 allows you to control the position of your gun model in the game. Tweaking your Viewmodel is highly recommended, as it does give you a competitive advantage. You can use the in-game settings to tweak it or the better way is to use a map like Crashz Viewmodel generator to tweak it. You can also copy s1mple’s view model from below. Just copy and paste it into the console.

Launch Options
A lot of CS2 players use launch options to start CS2 with instructions. It could be as simple as a resolution, or maybe adjusting the server tick rate. Similarly, s1mple also uses Launch Options and here they are.

Keybinds
You can set keybinds for things like nades and jump throws to make it easier to access. It’s actually a huge competitive advantage to use that. It takes time to cycle through different nades so having a dedicated bind for every nade is a good idea. With that said, you can try out s1mple’s binds below. Surprisingly, s1mple does not use dedicated nade binds, but he is s1mple, so we recommend that you bind them. Binding keys through the console can be a bit difficult, so here is a quick guide.

MwheelDown: Jump
MWheelUp: Nades
Z: Jump throw (How to Set up Jump Throw bind)
X: Push to Talk
C: Change Crosshair Size
Middle Mouse Button: Ping
Mouse4/Mouse5: Clear Decals

Sensitivity Settings
Just like crosshair, sensitivity is a personal preference. However, finding a good crosshair is easier than finding the perfect sensitivity. To make it easier, you can try using a pro’s sens and tweak it if necessary. S1mple uses 3.09 on 400 DPI.

NVIDIA Settings
Solid peripherals do the majority of the work when producing frames. But, there are always ways to increase performance. One of the most effective methods is to optimize your NVIDIA settings for performance. S1mple does the same thing; he has optimized the NVIDIA control panel for performance. You can refer to our existing Best NVIDIA Settings guide, which is designed to prioritize performance.

Monitor Settings
S1mple uses the Zowie XL2566K monitor, these settings are for that monitor. You can copy these for your monitor as well, but the results might slightly differ. Not to worry, as monitor settings are personal preferences and are not that important for competitive CS2. Copy these settings and then tweak them to your liking.
