Steam is broken
I have had an issue for awhile now where every time I started Steam up it wouldn't start. I had to click the show hidden icons button on my taskbar and then click Steam where it would bring up a crash saying Steam webhelper isn't responding, and the only option that would fix it was to restart with browser sandboxing disabled. I turned to Steam support to try and fix this issue.

A solution I was trying out was to reinstall Steam. Well in doing so, it made it so I no longer have access to Steam at all. As it doesn't start up and no longer has the previous solution I had that worked before as an option, as Steam doesn't show up under hidden icons even.

The only thing they said I could do was to try and post about it in a popular steam hub (hence why I'm making this post), and try and see if others are experiencing similar issues. The only way for this to be fixed for me and any others now is to wait and hope this gets enough attention and they create a fix through a new Steam update.

RIP my access to the hundreds of games in my Steam library for the foreseeable future.

This is hard to believe...

Try on a different device maybe? There's something wrong with your current one.

Yes, that is the issue, something with my device doesn't play along with their "chromium sandboxing solution". They said they were not able to replicate the problem with any of their systems. As for trying it on a different device, well of course that would work because there are millions of people playing games on Steam right now. I don't have another computer to use though.

Maybe best to pull out the good old reinstall window card then

I ended up solving this with the help of a friend who is way smarter than me when it comes to troubleshooting. So if anyone else occurs this problem I'll try and describe how we fixed it. The problem ended up being the hard drive that Steam was installed on for me. I ended up uninstalling Steam and reinstalled it on the other drive I had. He had me run a command prompt as well to clean and try and fix issues with the hard drive, I can't remember the exact prompt it was, but hopefully this thread might serve useful for anyone else who might occur this issue in the future!
