You definitely should NOT feel bad about your current level there. Majority of lvl3-4 players have 4-digit hour count, and you approaching lvl2 with just 80 under your belt is a very impressive progress.
That said, at the current moment of your cs2 journey you will benefit most from simply playing the game and gaining more raw experience. Watching some general guides or learning nade lineups never hurts, but it is all very secondary relative to basic game experience.
Also, keep in mind that you do not become good by achieving certain rank/ELO - it works precisely the other way round. Faceit levels will follow your skill improvement, and it is exceedingly more productive to focus on the latter if you want to get better.
Cool thanks for advice...thats also what I thought.
Awesome advice TripleSteel, and very encouraging!! ....What's cool is I can see a quick progress. This is why I am enjoying it so much. I used to be a high level amateur Table Tennis player, and I can feel my reaction and hand eye coordination really helps in CS2.
I had a feeling I should be more patient and just get better at basic mechanics like aiming, counter strafing, etc. .,,,,Its just that I am a very competitive person and that makes me impatient sometimes, so need to focus on and enjoy the progress.
Ok, I actually have only 45h of competitive CS2 matches under my belt.
In some matches I'm even playing better than level 4 and 5 guys, so hopefully thats a good sign.
How the hell are not more people playing FaceIt :-)
I'm just about to start playing on premier but was put off using faceit from replies in my other posts, one person even saying I'm not good enough for it yet. So it's not about anti-cheat it's about skill?
No.
You get assigned to a team. And then competitive maps (Mirage, Dust2, Inferno, Nuke, Anubis, etc.) appear and the team leaders (priority goes to a paying member) of both teams have to start banning the maps they don't want to play until 1 map is left. Most matches are played on Mirage or Dust2, followed by Anubis, Inferno or Nuke, etc. About 50% of my 80 matches have been on either Mirage or Dust2.
In your case, iff you are totally a real beginner I would start with premier adding Casual Mode game play and Death Matches. You could do that for 2 or 3 months before moving to FaceIt. By that time you will be pulling your hair for the number of cheaters you will encounter on Valve's servers.
I don't run into cheaters so not worried about that, but yes it seems faceit is more about skill than anticheat, and I'm not great to will stick to normal I think
Bro, I have now seriously found out that most people who falsely accuse FaceIt of having lots of cheaters are officially nuubs and losers who know nothing about Competitive Counter Strike.
97 FaceIt CS2 matches without a single cheater and loving every minute of it. Level 3 here I come.
2. you need good team or good cheat for exit level1
