Is Faceit necassary?

All I've played is Competitive Dust 2, but now I'm getting used to other maps/callouts so that I'm prepared to start my Premier journey.

Should I also do Faceit before I start?

I have minimal understanding of it, but is it just another filter beyond VAC to stop cheaters? (Though I imagine cheaters still play on it). Is it just the cool thing to be on Faceit?

Well I don't meet many cheaters on normal, I'm more wondering if it's the "cool thing" to be on faceit or doesn't matter much

If you want to improve and be a genuinely decent player, FaceIT is a good shout. However I can see your rank is low, so it would be likely that you will not be adequate for even FaceIT level 1.

I'm not really fussed playing vanilla and usually prefer it to not split up a playerbase, just wondering if Faceit it important enough to do (now rather than later)

Sorry, that is just how it is. FaceIT level 3 is where you start, and this is for higher gold novas/mgs. If you have no experience in other maps, you will get destroyed and it will not be a fun time for you.

If youre just starting out I would NOT suggest faceit

Weve played in the same match before. You can do that in normal MM.
