Using eye tracker instead of mouse, bannable?
Eyes have a lot better "aim" than hands. If i use an eye tracker to move the pointer towards where i look, will i get banned for too good aim?

Yes .. it will count as an aimlock/aimbot
if you somehow rig up an eye tracker to actually be viable in CS go for it i'd love to see a vid.

also ignore the first reply no its not bannable as long are your not straight hacking the game to do pull it off.

But i am technically still the one controlling it? Its just that the eyes are designed by evolution to follow targets, but our hands arent. The neural pathways to our hands are terribly long compared to out eyes. Like it is not an aimbot because it shoots where your looking, not taking any data from the game, and its not an aimlock because the only thing it locks to is where your looking.

My idea is that you know like flick shots with scout? Well usually your eyes end off the crosshair by a tiny bit. So the idea is that when you click your left mouse then it takes where your looking at and takes where your crosshair is and moves it to the center of where your looking and only then shoots. All of this could be done in an external computer without any data from the game itself, onky the in game mouse sensitivity and your eye position.

you will be banned for it because the delay between your eye and your arms/hands is not present, which will give you a huge advantage over your opponents!

Therefore it will not be allowed, it is not a game with the eyes, it is a game that requires reaction time from your brain down to your arms and fingers!

There are unofficial handicap competitions where it is allowed, but not on Valve's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ servers, because there Vacnet will ban you for it and see it as a cheat !

the issue is your gaze might not translate directly to mouse cords especially at the pixel level your prob gonna run into then same issue people did when trying to rig up touch screens to play csgo.

something along the lines of your looking at a 2d plane but the game is in 3D.

Well the game is "3d" but its potrayed on a 2d screen. So if the eye tracker sees ur looking 3 cm left and 1 cm up from the middle of the screen, then it just knows it has to move the virtual mouse accordingly i think. It will behave on a small scale like a 2d plane, and will probably work for last moment automatic adjustments. No matter the fov, u probably can take an approximation for how much you need to move the virtual or simulated mouse for each cm on screen i think even though its not the same everywhere.
if you move it smooth like your eyes are a joystick then yes it could work, but then you are controlling it like its a plane, meaning there is no real "stop", you cant not move so to say. And you cant control the speed, and you cant look anywhere on the screen at all without it moving, like the map, players alive, other monitor etc. All in all a terrible idea outside of an arcade game or wii game where you can move the crosshair independently.

I don't know how that'd work... Would your aim just snap all over the place when you look around the screen? Would it scroll to where you're looking? You wouldn't be able to look at your ammo or mini-map either. The most likely answer is yeah, that'd get you flagged for something
