"-i wanna buy it for real money, do you accept crypto? add me in discord."
Old scam .
Dont add randoms ...
1) turn off your browser extensions. he did, and nothing changed - the steam guard icon was still yellow.
2) he had a fake expensive inventory. if i go and check him myself, he only has 2 worthless skins. but his screen showed 6-7 expensive skins(total worth >5k$), everything trade banned. the 2 cheap skins were not displayed on his screen though.
3) he showed his trade history, so i asked him to contact the last guy he was trading with(it was a knife gift). so he did. he created a group chat with me and the guy, and "the guy", of course, told that everything was great. the guy also showed his steam profile, which matched with the trade history one.
4) about "the guy". after he left the group chat, i asked the scammer - how did you pay for the knife? he answered the payment was in crypto. so i asked him, can you send me the usdt transaction link? "no, i don't want to share it because it's risky, i want for my transfers to be private".
5) just buy my knife on steam! "no, because 15% fee".
6) let me post the knife on third-party website! "no, i don't trust any websites, it is a risk"
7) he never mentioned the price, which he would pay for the knife. we talked for 20-30 minutes and he tried to convince me countless times he would send me the money, but he never even once told me, how much money he would buy the knife for.
