But don't worry, they've made the timing really easy to hit.
Just hold space and throw at the same time, they made it extremely easy to time it now.
If you are having trouble with it, keep holding space after you finished throwing and it will register at the highest point.
Afaik, they've made the timing window even wider after that. At least it feels so.
I'd pick the bind anyday if I could, don't get me wrong, but it's much easier now, than in GO without a bind.
I guess it also depends on your binds. I have jump bound to both ctrl and mouse down, then walk on space.
Some fingers are easier to move independent from each other.
W+space then hit ctrl with the side of your pinky let's you focus solely on the timing with your mouse-hand.
