140-200 ping for no reason
Okay, so tried to play csgo tonight and suddenly found that my ping is 140-200. Called my internet provider and ask "What the f**k?" They said me that internet is working perfectly. Then I found that I can surf internet and download other games with over 10mbps. How to fix this problem, what to do?

Join a deathmatch, leave, and then join whatever else you want. I've had a wierd thing where the game puts me on the West NA or EU servers for the first game I join every time I play (High latency is generally a cause of to far of distance between a client and the server).

I've tried this and also thought that I join NA servers (live in eu), but I've played with 4 friends and 2 of them also got the same problem. Since I'm not the only one who has this problem it's ain't personal.

Ok guys i found a fix its very simple this is what i did.

Step 1. Open your local disk C drive (Local Disk C:)
Step 2. Right click and click select all, this should select all of the contents of this folder
Step 3. Right click on the selected items and press DELETE. Then Simply Allow the deletion of these items, reboot your computer, and it should run fps games much better.

The reason this works is because it refreshes your computers router history, so steam will be able to refresh your location, and begin connecting you to the servers located nearest to you to garuntee the best quality internet speeds.

This worked for me, i dont know about u guys but it is definitely good to try as a first resort.

If you have any questions email me @gabenewell@valvedevs.com

Fanny joke? No joke man, i just love helping people fix computer problems, i took computer programming at stetson university and code for a living, go ahead and joke, but the people who try this will actually get no lag at all.
