What does boosting mean in CSGO?

Someone offered to boost me but I thought that ment give me hacks. If it is hacking im really not interested though.

boosting usually means "allow me to extort expensive skins off of you so i can help you rank up"

Yeha sorry I kinda forgot about that. I just figure its much easier to use hacks

Much easier to smurf, I played with a silver 3 buddy the other day and got 45 kills. Though I didn't expect it to put us in a silver elite game since I was GN3...

The skill differences between ranks is actually insane.

Someone who plays with you and gets you wins every match so you can rank up. That's not hacking but it usually means they are a smurf
