insta sell/trade after trade up contract

are knifes or gloves ISNTA tradeable/sellable on steam market after a contract from 5 reds? or does the 7 day trade ban apply on them?

man i just want to know if i can insta sell the knife i obtained in contract from 5 knifes on steam market or wait 7 days.

This is incorrect, you'll have to wait 7 days if you bought the items from Steam Market.

It seems a lot of people are still confused about this. Here's the thing:

1. If you already had five tradable Coverts (Reds) before the update and you complete the trade-up contract, you will be able to sell the resulting item immediately (insta-sell).
2. If you bought the Coverts from Steam Market after the update, you CAN do the trade-up, but you will have to wait seven days to sell the resulting item.
3. If you bought the Coverts from third-party sites, you CANNOT even do the trade-ups because the items will be marked as trade-protected items, meaning you will have to wait seven days before you can do the trade-up.

To conclude:

* Insta-sell > only if you already had five tradable Coverts and you complete the trade-up.

*Can do the trade-up but have to wait 7 days to sell > if you bought the Coverts only from the Steam Market.

*Have to wait 7 days to even do the trade-ups > if you bought the Coverts from third-party sites or received the items via Steam trade.
